Group: Potential track choices

Banks – Warm water (Snakehips remix)

·    Slower tempo which normally sees videos with a slow cutting rate and heavy use of slow motion.
·    Uses both major and minor keys which gives leighway as to whether we produce a happy or sad video.
·    Lyrics are repetitive and do not contain a dominant theme which shows that either a disjunctive or related video could be used.
·    Tracks with relaxed vibes like this usually have videos with lots of lens flare, saturated colours, and are performed as a solo narrative.
·    Major and minor sounding parts of the track could be used to tell two different stories of two different characters.
·    Only problem with using this track would be if we wanted to have someone lip syncing to the song, we would have to find a girl to act for that.

Seven Lions with Myon and Shane 54 - Strangers (Feat. Tove Lo)

  • Starts of slower and more relexed. Remains this way for about a quater of the song which would allow time for a build up of the story.
  • Drop is not too heavy but at the same time it moves from being a relaxed track to being a bit more up beat. This would allow us to match this with visuals that contain more action.
  • Lyrics keep relating back to the title 'Strangers' which could lead to a video where two people meet or take different paths etc.
  • Same problem faced as the other song choice, we would need a girl to lip sync any vocals if we were to have someone singing.
  • Being dubstep, the video for this would conventionally be more up beat and happy.
